Genesis 42:24-38

Joseph binds Simeon and sends his brethren back with the gift of life. His brethren complain that he dealt roughly with them and Jacob refuses to allow Ben to return with them. That's where the story leaves off, but God isn't done. He is using Joseph to teach Grace to the family of Israel. And God is not going to leave Jacob in Canaan. He has a plan and Jacob will submit... but not in this week's text.
