If the Enemy Could, He Would

Can I serve you up a little good news, on this lovely day the Lord has made?

If satan could, he would! What do I mean by that? If satan could use uncommon and unnatural means to tempt us, he would. But God is faithful, and will not allow him to tempt us beyond what is common or natural. And that my friend is good news.

Therefore, with every natural temptation, the Lord has an answer to that common temptation, that we are able to bear it and escape the dangers that come with feeding and cultivating the temptation before it turns into lust. Every sin/lust, of any kind, starts with natural, but fallen, desires. And when we feed those desires with natural/fallen means he keeps us trapped... but the good news is that God is faithful and will not allow the enemy to use anything and everything he wants to tempt us. If he could, he most definitely would.

We have an option... we can wing it, or follow the manufacturer's advice. Some things are a lot more complex than putting a sprayer together. But it's always wise to follow the instructions of the designer. Because it's so aggravating to put something together and it not work, cause we missed a step or didn't put it together right. We usually have to break it all down, get the manual out and start over.

Stick with God's book... there will still be some do overs, but not near as many, as you would, if you neglect His instructions on life and grace.

I encourage you to:

  1. Rejoice over this truth.

  2. Praise Jesus for His faithfulness.

  3. Take responsibility...
