The Call to Repentance and Service

There is a call to repentance which is for everyone.

Serving Christ is not optional for a Christian. Obedience is required, and it is a fruit of regeneration also.

Christ is Lord and King and the call to service is a call to serve and glorify God in all that we do, Col. 3:17, 23-24, and 1 Cor. 10:31. It is a call to continual repentance from love to God, John 14:15.

The world calls to entertainment, pleasure, power, prestige, etc.

There is also a call to the Ministry of the Gospel which the Lord lays upon certain of His servants, equipping them and calling them to preach His Word.
