The Enduring Throne

In the year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord's eternal throne. Now, in the year that Queen Elizabeth II died, we contemplate that same vision. We see the good monarch on earth, with a long reign, dying at a time of uncertainty. We see the glorious Monarch in heaven, ruling and reigning for ever; and we see the gracious Monarch in heaven, pardoning and cleansing sinners so that we may approach him and serve him.
