The Spirit of Things to Come

The Spirit is no less than God among us. By nature of the case, he does not let us settle with what is, or let us despair of anything ever changing. We are strengthened by his love, we are given foretastes of a perfected world and are given the resources to deal with what remains irksome and painful. 'May the God of peace fill us with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope!'
