9 A Friend of Sinners
Series Mark
- After the conflict and the manifestation of power, Jesus withdraws. But the people come out to Him and He teaches them.
- Levi was to an ancient Jew a betrayer.
- Jesus sees Levi as a member of His flock, as a sheep who has wandered into danger.
- How Jesus called Levi is how He calls sinners.
- The way Jesus treats His followers is much different from the way the world does.
- Until you have been emptied of your own righteousness, you cannot be filled with Christ's righteousness.
- If you are going to follow Jesus, you must have fellowship and FEAST with Jesus. This includes three areas:
- Private fellowship;
- Public fellowship; and
- Sacramentally.
