EXPOSITION - JAMES #30 Evil Speaking and Judging - James 4: 11,12

In this portion of the epistle.....James deals with two sins of which the early believers were apparently guilty.

Out of a heart of pastoral concern......the apostle confronts his readers with the sin of......

(1) Speaking evil of the brethren.

(2) Judging the brethren.

Speaking evil of the brethren could be motivated by:

[1] Malignity and vindictiveness

[2] Envy.

[3] Vanity.

NEXT.....WE SEE THAT THE APOSTLE DEALS WITH THE MATTER OF JUDGING A BROTHER.......

WHAT KIND OF JUDGMENT DOES THE APOSTLE HAVE IN MIND?????
