King Solomon understood that the cure for the exercise of false religion is to come under the apprehension of the sovereignty of God and to submit to that sovereignty. If the king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, then the hearts of all the king's subjects are as well. They must live in the knowledge that the Lord is the King, and they must humble themselves under the King's mighty hand.
