Last Sermon Preached- Seven Perspectives of the Cross (Easter Sun.am 1966)

629

Greetings Peter-John,

I am honestly not sure what was the last recorded message by Br. Follette, however... when I saw this same message: Seven Perspectives... I thought that it must be one of his last recorded, if not the last.

I don't recall if I told you or not... However, I spoke with Hattie Hammond several years before her "homegoing" in "94 and she told me that the Lord had spoken to her to go up and visit Br. Follette in October 1966 at his home in New Paltz, NY. In facts, said Sr. Hammond, "I was at his bed side at his passing." When she arrived at the nursing facility he was at, just before his passing, she said he was having visions of the heavens and angels around about him. She said the nurse had just administered a sedative as she was coming through the door, for they thought he was hallucinating. She said to me "Dear, I wished I could have stopped them from doing that as he was seeing the real thing and not imaginating!!!" She also told me (I usually am a bit hesitant to tell this as some people look at me strangely, however... if the supernatural is real to those who hear about it, they don't seem to have too much of a problem.) She said, "As his spirit was leaving his body, he was physically lifted above the bed until his passing. There was such a presence of the Lord in his room!"

Sorry I don't know more about his final message, however the story related by Hattie Hammond concerning being with Br. Follette at his death was a blessing to me; esp. hearing it from her mouth! (Wish I had a recording of it!)

Blessings,

Jay
