Past, Present, and the Potential

The prophet here has ripped a page from the headlines. There was a great plague of locust that had recently invaded the land, and it would seem that it was something of an on going invasion. With wave after wave hitting the people where it counts. My friends it is happening today as well. Not literal locust but a far great scourge called sin. Just look at the headlines in the paper today; look at all the sin, the rapes, murders, suicides, wars, drugs, etc. I know none of it is new, but it is an ever widening cycle that sucks more and more into it. Can it be stopped? With God it can and will one day. Will we end it ourselves? No. But we are called on to stop it in our own lives and to stem the tide of evil around us as much as possible.
