Fighting God

49

It's not unusual for people to view difficult situations from the perspective of how they will impact us. We look at things like changes in the economy, unemployment, political positions, and even the spread of the COVID virus from the position of how we are personally affected. But when you're a Christ-follower, we are led by God's Spirit to see things from the perspective of how they impact others because we know Christ is guiding and guarding us. That doesn't mean we won't face hardship; it simply means we know the One who loves us and has authority over all things and promises to "never leave or forsake us" (Hebrews 13:5). We are called by God to focus our attention on loving God and loving others.

This Sunday, we will wrap up our study in the Book of Jonah by seeing how God teaches Jonah a great lesson in humility by showing him how much we should love and care about others knowing how much God truly loves and cares about us.
