Justified by Faith, Not Ego

Is there enough stuffing in a human ego to justify its existence? Our modern world thinks so. But the problem is not just ‘out there’. The idea that we have something in ourselves to commend us to God or others or to ourselves is pervasive and powerful. Paul found out differently when he met Christ, or as one writer says, when God ‘happened to him’. He could not return to law and to the ego that drove him to prove himself but wanted only Christ.
