Good Works & God's Grace in the Home: The Details of the Dance

This sermon gives the details of the roles of husband and wife, beginning in Titus 2:1-8 where both the man's characteristics of leadership and the woman's priorities of husband, children and home are seen. Then a more full account of these details is given from 1 Timothy 5:3-16, 1 Peter 3:1-7, and Colossians 3:18-19. Finally, the role of the husband and the example of Christ's love is emphasized from Ephesians 5:22-33.

When the roles of husband and wife are carried out as the Scripture teaches, the result is like a coordinated dance in which the one who leads and the one who follows move beautifully together, in love and grace toward each other and adorning the Gospel of Christ to the praise and glory of God.
