Inside Out Religion, Part 1

The Beatitudes reveal that godly character is the defining attribute of kingdom citizens, and the cornerstone of this character is humility. Not only is humility an absolute necessity for entry in the Kingdom of God, but it remains a necessity for living the Christian life. How do we know if we are humble? Sure signs that we are prideful include coming to Christ with our own terms, placing limits on Christ's influence in our life, holding church life at arm's length, or thinking that we have done enough to merit life in Christ's Kingdom.
