Part 17: Right Covenant, Right Worship

1. The Law of Moses
   a) The giving of the Law of Moses (of which the Ten Commandments are an important part) occurred at Mt. Sinai, when God entered into a special and unique covenant relationship with the nation of Israel. (Ex. 34:27)
   b) The Ten Commandments were specifically “a covenant document” and were called “the words of the
   covenant” (Ex. 34:28)
   c) The Ten Commandments, as a covenant document, were given only to the nation of Israel. (Deut. 5:1-3; I Kings 8:9);
   d) God said he was going to make a new covenant one day. The new covenant was going to be different in nature from the old covenant, replacing the covenant that God had made with Israel at Mt. Sinai under Moses (Jer. 31:31-32)

2. Jesus Fulfils the Law Covenant
   Jesus, in fulfilling the Law, establishes what continuity the Law has, the true direction to which it points and the way it is to be obeyed

3. The New Covenant Church Worships God in Spirit and Truth
