Fighting Over Money
Today 52 percent of nonmarital births are to cohabiting couples, up from 29 percent in the early 1980s and 39 percent in the early 1990s. The percentage of people living alone has tripled since 1950. The modern world has shied away from biblical covenant relationships, and in the process has given up on marriage and family. This has infected the way most people think and live in the western world, including you and me.
Consequently family and church relationships are now flimsy and transient.
But in the beginning God intended for the two to become one. But how do we cultivate the one-ness of marriage?
The #1 cause of marital fights surrounds money. This is rooted in a failure to acknowledge the one-ness of marriage and the Ephesian 5 mandates for husband and wife.
