A household baptism

What Is Said.
Instances of administration of baptism in NT.
John's baptism not NT baptism appointed in Mat.28:19-20 see Acts 19:3-5
Acts 8:12 shows women as well as men to be baptised – change from circumcision.
Paul (Acts 9:18) and Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:36-39) – tell us nothing about whether children were baptised.
Pentecost (Acts 2:41) – mainly men visiting for the feast. Even so, continuance of promise to Abraham affirmed (Acts 2:39). See Gen. 17:7 and 12:2-3, Ex.12:47-49
Crispus (Acts 18:8), Cornelius' household (Acts 10:24 & 47-48)
Only other instances – the three household baptisms – Acts 16:15 & 33 and 1Cor. 1:16

What Is Not Said.
The NT affords no baptistic explanation of whether children were present. Household baptism common. No instance of a child of believing parents being treated as outside the church or being baptised as an adult following profession of faith. All references to children inside the church – 1 Cor. 713-14, Eph.6:1-2, Col.3:20. No indication of the position of children has changed in NT. Visible form of the church is one continuous olive tree
In Rom.11 24. NT gives no examples of family life among God's people – all in OT – no change of position of children in the church when we come into the NT. Visible and outward church mixed in its adult & infant membership on earth. Two kinds of branches in John 15:1-7 – the fruitful & unfruitful, regenerate and unregenerate.
