The Great Tribulation

A premillennial, pretribulational outlook on the Great Tribulation period outlined in Mark. While intertestamental Jewish history and the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple may prefigure the Great Tribulation, Jesus is applying the Olivet Discourse ultimately to a yet future tribulation that is beyond anything ever witnessed in our world. This is the time of Jacob's trouble and the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet.
