The Bogus Age of Accountability

The greatest concern of any Christian parent ought to be the salvation of their children. What does it profit our children to grow up and be successful in business, famous, influential, etc. and yet forfeit their souls? Given that our children's souls are of great value, we ought to evangelize them and not simply assume they are saved because they are ours or because they are in church or because of some man-made ritual that has been performed by them or upon them. This sermon addresses the scriptural assertion that children are depraved from the womb and that God alone can save them. They are not saved by bloodlines, family connections, their own free will or by our will. All those who are truly saved are saved by the will of God alone. Even so, God saves by His own appointed means -- namely, preaching the gospel. This sermon concludes with some practical suggestions on evangelizing children.
