Meekness Misconstrued as Weakness

The tone of the book now changes as the apostle addresses his opposers.

1. Christian love makes severity undesirable unless necessary v2.

2. Worldly men tend to think everyone is like themselves v2b,3.

3. The God approved weaponry of the church of God v4.

4. The power of God through his own word v5,6.
   Rebels are made subjects to Christ by his power through his own appointments.
   Faithfulness to the Lord and his word is what is required of us.
