The Importance of Bible Prophecy

Dr. Thomas Ice, executive director of the Pre-Trib Research Center and keynote guest speaker for the first-ever Day with Whitcomb Ministries, held in August of 2004, gives a comprehensive overview of the scope and focus of Biblical prophecy in this opening session of the conference. "God has a plan for history," Ice states, "and Bible prophecy is important because it is one of the ways that we know that the Bible is true." Ice reports that "at least 28 percent of the Bible was prophecy when it was written." These prophecies are found in 8,352 of Scripture's 31,124 verses. Thus, Ice shows how "(God) is moving history from a garden to a city, with a cross in between."
