Your Sin Will Find You Out

NUMBERS 32: 23
'But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. '

Sin is serious in God's sight. In today's world it is joked about and glossed over.

This verse reminds us of the importance of recognising sin in our lives and repenting of it, and forsaking it.

Whether saved or unsaved, we all need to take this verse to heart, and to keep it before us continually.

Rev Elliott looks at it under two main headings:

1. The Condition That Is Serious

2. The Detection That Is Sure

'Sin will take you farther
Than you want to go -
Slowly, but wholly, taking control.
Sin will keep you longer
Than you want to stay.
Sin will cost you far more
Than you want to pay.'

'Search me, O God.
And know my heart today.
Try me, O Saviour,
Know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be
Some wicked way in me.
Cleanse me from every sin
And set me free. '
