Christian Ministry: Divine Institution (4)

Three important questions about the church are to be answered to understand the Divine institution and necessity of the Christian ministry. The third question is, 'Why has God ordained the Christian ministry for the church?' This is briefly answered in this message. Since God is a God of order, He established order in the congregation by ordaining the Christian ministry. The congregation is the center of the new covenant and, therefore, believers are to submit themselves to God's divine institution and the ordained leadership. However, the minister is also subject to the congregation. He is not a corporate leader or boss whereby everyone is to bow to him. The Christian minister is under God's authority, too.
