Psalm 17: Three Petitions P1

David, all but defeated, brings his urgent petitions to God stating that his cause is righteous, his enemies deadly, and his faith confident. David desires for God to show him his covenant love and protection. David makes three petitions. The first is followed by a defense of his integrity. The second petition is followed by a description of his enemies. The third petition is followed with a statement of expectant faith.
