God's Army

Aim: To be effective warriors for Christ as we proclaim His gospel of grace.

Exegesis: God's army is made up of fearless soldiers. We are emboldened by God's presence with us (v. 1) and salvation of us (v. 2). God's army is made up of focused soldiers, as we put God's glory before our comfort (v. 5), vocations (v. 6), and families (v. 7). God's army is made up of faithful soldiers. Let us trust in the Lord's promises (v. 8) and provisions (v. 9).

Key verse: v. 1 ''When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.''
