The Gospel Simply Stated

It's all here: sovereignty, calling, election and justification by free grace. As God's elect are called effectually by God without anything carnal they are justified graciously without anything carnal. Without the Gospel declared in this verse we know none of these truths. Man is left to his native darkness and carnal religion. The Gospel declares, though men are bankrupt and helpless sinners, death, sin and the Devil cannot condemn them.
