What Separates Us From Cults Part Two

Embed
80

The second of four messages on the danger of the Reformed church compromising for the sake of peace and so-called legitimacy. The Reformed churches of Russia must take a strong doctrinal stand which separates them from the prevalent cults of Russian Orthodoxy, Pentecostalism, Catholicism and the Charismatic movements. Far too many reformed Christians return to the Russian Orthodox church or drift into the Charismatic and Pentecostal movements. Praying to Mary, making pagans into saints, extra-biblical revelation, bowing to idols and kissing icons are not small and insignificant things but pagan practices which must be exposed. The Reformed churches of Russia to be truly reformed must offer a doctrine and a message of salvation which precludes the drift into cults. They must be willing to separate distinctively from the Russian Orthodox church or risk being marginalized by God as He seeks to raise up a truly orthodox, reformed church in Russia.
