Help in Hopeless Times
104 ( 78 | 26 )
- What makes circumstances hopeless?
- longevity of the issue ('of a child')
- severity of the issue ('pineth away')
- opposition ('he teareth him')
- complexity of the issue ('why could not we')
- unbelief ('faithless generation')
- The answer
- The solution is to take you seemingly hopeless situation to Christ
- The simplicity of the answer is what trips us up
- He did not say - come up with a solution and the pray for God to execute your solution
- He did not say that you begin to argue with God that you don't deserve these problems
- He did not say you come up with the solution and then pat yourself on the back for being so wise
- Come to Christ and lay this burden before the Lord and leave it there
- Why come to Christ?
- The Lord has promised to receive us when we come to him
- Christ really cares
- Christ is able to do something about our problems (disciples could not help, scribes did not care)
