Washed By The Blood

To be washed, made clean of every spot and unholy stain, is the promise of Christ's work upon the Cross. That blood which pours forth from the Holy One is the means which God had ordained to bring rescue and deliverance to those who could not enter into the presence of a Righteous God any other way. The Sacrament of Baptism reminds and assures us not only of the manner by which any sinner is saved, but the manner by which you have been saved, through Christ's blood applied by the Spirit, who washes away our soul's impurities and so sets us on the path of holy lives. This we believe through the promise of Christ Jesus given to us, even as we are called to bear the sign and seal, He really and truly washes away our sins.
