The Priority Of The Glory Of God In Our Trials (part 2)
Series The Gospel Of John
Some ways that the death of Lazarus glorified Jesus:
1-It caused many to believe in Him.
2-It caused the faith of the disciples and Mary and Martha to grow.
3-It put in motion what was necessary in order for Jesus to be crucified.
Conclusions from these two sermons:
1-The things that happen to us are not by accident but for the glory of God.
2-We don't have to be able to see how God gets the glory from our circumstances in order for Him to do so.
3-Because God gets the glory from something doesn't mean it won't bring us great pain and sorrow.
4-When faced with great trials and afflictions we should lay the situation before Jesus without making any demands.
5-When we bring our trials to the Lord, we should take solace in His great love for us not our love for Him.
6-When we are suffering we should deliberately ask ourselves how we can use this experience to glorify God.
