God's Answer to Injustice

95

We mourn today the passing of a just judge, Chancellor Edward Prisock.

We live in a world full of injustice, which God's Word utterly condemns. Judges and lawyers and policemen who fabricate false charges, lie, and use legal sophistry to deny the innocent justice are cursed of God.

Just judges are a rarity, because they, like us all, are sinners. Every man needs God's help to do justice.

Solomon wisely begged of God that He would give him knowledge and understanding and good judgment so he could wisely judge his people, and God did so.

God expresses His displeasure that there is no justice, so He declares His solution: He will provide a Just Judge, both to save His people, and to condemn the wicked.

That Just Judge promised by God is our Lord Jesus!

No wonder Jesus fulfills the missed opportunities of Solomon, David's son. Christ's temple is better, His reign is longer, His justice is better, than anything Solomon conceived.

God promises that Jesus' government and righteousness will eternally increase, and He will establish true justice. God has assured us He will accomplish this without fail.

Upon Christ dwells the Spirit without measure, wisdom, understanding, counsel, and insight. He will judge according to the truth, and not based upon what is merely visible or audible. Because Christ knows all things, the cleverest, most fiendish miscreant will have no chance of escaping full justice!

Christ's comprehensive and perfect justice will bring such peace to the creation as has never been known before.

The saints need have no fear of the perfect Justice of Christ, because He has satisfied all its demands against us at Calvary!
