David's Deterioration

In 2 Samuel 21:15-22, several vignettes summarize battles against the descendants of the giants. In one of these battles, a weakened David had to be rescued. This episode has a spiritual lesson for us: that sin not only has immediate effects, but also the long range effect of spiritual weakening.
