Confused by Prophecies

Our passage contains a lot of prophetic statements and revelations of the Spirit. However, the people disagree on what is the right course of action to take. How can that be? Is the Holy Spirit giving contradictory revelations? Is someone not listening to the Spirit? Once we wrestle with this passage, we realize that there is a difference between the message revealed by the Holy Spirit and the reaction of those who receive that message. It is too hard to bear. Sometimes, we know what God wants us to accomplish, but we must overcome our resistance to doing what is difficult.
