Chosen to Proclaim His Praises

Main Point
Through Jesus Christ God is building you into His new Israel so you can serve and worship Him; draw near to God and fulfill your purpose!

1. Jesus is rejected by men but is chosen and precious to God (v. 4b, 6a, 7 with Isaiah 28:16)

2. As one trusting in Christ you are also rejected by men but chosen and precious to God (v. 6b-7a, 9b)

3. If you reject Christ, you may be accepted by men but you are rejected by God (v. 7b-8 with Psalm 118:22 and Isaiah 8:14)

4. As you draw near to Jesus, God is building you into a spiritual house (v. 4a, 5a)

5. As a part of the New Israel, you have been chosen to serve and worship your God (v. 5b, 9-10 with Exodus 19:5-6, Isaiah 43:21 and Hosea 2:23)
