The Song of the King

'Who is regulating affairs on this earth today---God or the devil? That God reigns supreme in heaven is generally conceded; that He does so over this world is almost universally denied' [A.W. Pink, 'The Sovereignty of God']. Psalm 24 is one of the many passages of Scripture that clearly and boldly declare, 'Jehovah is king in heaven and Earth.' It is believed that this Psalm was sung when David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, when the Scripture says David 'danced before the Lord with all his might.' This message declares, with the psalmist, 'The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness.' It tackles the issue of God's sovereignty over even the evil acts of men. If we embrace God's sovereignty, it should drive us to our knees in adoration, it should cause us to submit to our king's judgement in all things, and it should banish all fear.
