Logic on Fire

72

This is the full sermon of Logic on Fire. I have broken the sermon down into 2 parts on this page for easier access to the material. Logic on Fire Introduction and Logic on Fire Christ' use of logic.
Dr. Lloyd Jones believed that all of Scripture was pure and divine logic, absolute statements that cannot be assailed. when Christ said anything it was pure truth incarnate speaking of Himself.

True Biblical Holy Spirit-inspired preaching sets flame to logic that burns in the hearts of all the congregation.

Logic is said to be the Science of necessary implication or inference about all TRUTH!

There is nothing in all of God's creation that logic does not touch. All wisdom, knowledge, thought, reason, ideas.
All implications, all desires, all knowledge is wrapped inside of logic, and it can only be found in Christ.
Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus claimed to be the way, meaning the path in the pursuit of all truth.
There is no need to say absolute Truth because truth is an absolute, there is no middle, it is excluded from possibility.
In our minds, we have been conditioned to think in terms of a multiplicity of truth and knowledge and logic. We have been taught to believe that truth is relative and situational. We shun absolutes for possibles and say that is good enough.
We are taught that truth is the enemy of knowledge and searching for truth is nobler than knowing truth.
