Sweet and Sober Truths for Bitter Providences 7

The vision before us is one of treachery and horror! What was vaguely referenced in chapter 7 is here highlighted: the future for God’s people was going to be extremely difficult. From this we conclude that truly, this world is not a friend of grace to help us on our way. It is both a veil of tears in which God has deigned to perfect us through suffering as well as a battle ground in which Satan endeavors to attack the people of God because he no longer can directly attack Jesus (Rev. 12)!
