It May Be They Will Hear

No prophet (or apostle) ever stood up in a public place and told the people 'God loves you and wants you to be happy.' Not one. Never! Only false prophets said that then and now.
God's message through every prophet was first of judgment and wrath against sin. The people didn't like it and killed the prophets for saying it. The rulers took a pen knife and cut up God's Word until all the offense was taken out of it, preferring the message of 'peace, peace' as told by all the false prophets.
The message hasn't changed nor the people's reaction to it.
Who will hear? And who will fear the Lord? He who does shall then hear the gospel, for the gospel is only for God-fearing sinners.
