Ministry in Athens - Conclusion

Paul concluded his proclamation to the men of the Areopagus with a call to repentance and faith. The altar to the "unknown god" was an admission of ignorance on the part of the Athenians - an ignorance that even these philosophers had to own. But if they had been ignorant before that day, they now had no excuse for it; Paul had proclaimed to them the One they innately sensed but couldn't articulate. Now they had no excuse for their unbelief; now the God of heaven and earth had revealed Himself to them and was calling them to lay hold of Him and enter into His salvation.
