The King Who Gives - God's Sovereignty

David and his men were unconscious of what was awaiting them back at Ziklag. In His wrath, God remembers mercy. Though the city is burned, we see God's preservation of the women and children. We look at how God's providential dealings prevented bloodshed in this passage.

Our lives may not always be joyful as we would like but we see how God uses things for our God. He chastens whom he loves. Remember God's promises and draw strength and comfort in the knowledge that God is a sovereign God.
