No Flirting with the Flesh

Coddling the flesh always comes with corrupting consequences.

Mortifying the flesh (Col. 3:5). Look to Jesus, deny self, take up our cross, stay connected to Him, yield to the Spirit, honor His word, put faith in the fact you died and been resurrected with Jesus and your life belongs to Him and follow His love and lead. Reject what the flesh knows, refuse its input, starve it out and feed or sow to the Spirit. We cannot "mortify" sin without the challenges nor complications that will come with starving something to death. There will be grief, and begging, and despair and so many thoughts of turning back and releasing your flesh to be fed. Killing the Amalekites or the six nations would not be easy but necessary.
