Humble Yourselves Under the Mighty Hand of God!

Peter gives us a fearful warning: For God resisteth the proud and giveth grace the humble.
You don't want to come before God with a proud spirit; because if you do, God will resist you; he won't speak to you, but He will set Himself against you until you repent of your pride.
Never, NEVER forget, on the Lord's day, you are presenting yourself to God! If you are ALWAYS mindful of this, it will change the way you come to the gathering. ....Christian, do all that you can every day to ÒscrapÓ pride out of your life! Don't exalt yourself, because if you do, you will bring shame to yourself, but mostly to the Name of Christ! The only safe and right way for you to be lifted up and exalted is when God does it.
i. Bow in submission and humility to God's providence in every aspect of your life! In every trial, in every earthly suffering, know that the hand of God has NOT gone out against you, but God is fashioning you and conforming you to the image of Christ! He's cultivating your faith, and godly humility in your life!
