The Necessity of God's Power in Evangelism

"We are faced in this world with an impossible commission." So stated Dr. John Whitcomb in his third message to the students and faculty of Appalachian Bible College in Mount Hope, W.V., in the spring of 2005.
The work of the Great Commission is impossible for us apart from the power of God. Dr. Whitcomb cautions us not to minimize that fact, and not to rely on mere rational ability to win the lost.
Rather, he shows us a much stronger means by which we can have victory in our attempts to make disciples — that is a reliance upon the power of God.
