Oracle Against Babylon (Part II)

IV. Yahweh will comfort His remnant with rest (14:1-3).
V. Yahweh's remnant will taunt Babylon's king.
A. Yahweh has stopped your oppression (14:4-6).
B. The earth is now at peace (14:7-8).
C. Former earthly leaders testify against you from Sheol: "You are like us!"
(14:9-11).

VI. Yahweh will judge Babylon's king.
A. Babylon's king is arrogant (14:12-14).
B. Babylon's king will die (14:15-20a).
C. Babylon's king will have no remnant (14:20b-21).
D. Yahweh of Hosts will do this (vs. 22-23)
VII. As goes Babylon, so goes Assyria (14:24-25).
VIII. As goes Babylon, so goes the whole earth (14:26-27).
