The Gift of the Spirit

Can a church, lost in its love of the world, be renewed? The prophets announced that it would be so. John the Baptist said Jesus would do it. Jesus saw to it that the Holy Spirit was poured out—on a nation that had just killed its Messiah. Yes. There is hope and promise for us all! The Spirit has been poured out to renew us in vibrant faith, hope and love. We should relish what God is about and surrender our small ambitions to his mighty working.
