Love Like a Man

The summary of the NT teaching on marriage is “Men love; women submit.” The different instructions for men and women
point to different roles. Maleness and femaleness produce the deepest kind of unity (harmony rather than unison), but the world rebels
against that and tries to flatten the differences. Men and women are VERY different. Masculinity in marriage centers on loving the
wife gently. The call to gentle love strikes at the curse (“he will harshly rule over you”) and returns to the way God loves us.
