Evidence for the Divine Inspiration of the Bible 12 Daniel 11:41-45 episode 175

The Bible continues to prove it's divine authorship. Today we will finish the fulfilled prophecy in Daniel 11. Let's just jump right in.
Dan 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
As Octavius passed through Syria, Judea and Egypt, he did not invade Edom, Moab, or Ammon. Later attempts on these lands by Rome were also unsuccessful.
Dan 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
Octavian took control of Egypt, which had not been done since the days of Alexander the Great.
Dan 11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
Because of Octavius's victory over Egypt, he was able to tap into the immense wealth of Egypt. Cornelius Balbus, a general of Octavius, later took Ethiopia and Libya.
Dan 11:44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
We are back to talking about Herod here. We know this because he is the one who planted his palace between the seas and the glorious mountain (verse 45). The news from the east was the announcement that the Messiah, King of the Jews had been born. After the wise men had not returned with the location of Jesus' birth, he became very wroth and had all children in Bethlehem as well as the surrounding regions executed.
