Jesus has shown Himself to be the light of the world and a cure for blindness. This was illustrated in the healing of a man born blind and the simultaneous curing of his spiritual blindness. The formerly blind beggar suffered for his new faith as is common for the Lord's disciples, but he found favor and fellowship in Christ.
