Dealing with Discouragement

Cast down and discouraged, the psalmist demonstrates how to cope with such a state.

1. He talks to himself - and is not simply controlled by emotions.
2. He talks to God - and expresses honestly and wholeheartedly the struggle he has with God's ways.
3. He remembers God - recalling that God is the living, sovereign, loving God whom he can refer to with personal pronouns and look to for strength and guidance.
