A Man After God's Own Heart

David was a man after God's own heart. David spent time with his God. This passage is a psalm of David to his God.

1. David had a love for God's presence
   He had a closeness with God and a desire to be closer. In longing for God's presence, David knew his sin could interfere. We need to love God so much that the thought of sin driving us away from God should be abhorrent to us.

2. David had a love for God's person
   God is the giver of wisdom. David wanted to learn that wisdom. David waited on the Lord for His mercies.

3. David had a heart for God's people
   David prayed that other believers would know powerful answers to their prayer.
